Leading health tech firms to transform preventative care through smart interoperable technology

September 8, 2025

In a move set to reshape the future of proactive and preventative care, Everon Group, a leading provider of digital health and care solutions, and Howz, specialists in behavioral monitoring and care analytics, have today announced a new strategic partnership across the UK, Finland and Sweden.

The collaboration brings together two pioneering organisations to deliver a market-first technology platform and reporting suite that empowers housing providers, care homes, local authorities, and healthcare services to make faster, better-informed decisions that improve lives and drive care efficiencies.

Solutions provider Everon Group is most known for its ecosystem of TECS products for intelligent assisted living, including the Origon Hub, an all-in-one system to connect to multiple discreet sensors for bespoke care needs, the Obsidian Pendant personal alarm and the Everwatch, designed to empower the user to live a more active and independent life.

Howz provides a remote monitoring platform used by councils across the UK to support early intervention and ensure individuals receive the right level of care at the right time. The partnership with Everon Group is set to bring a unique blended offering to the health and social care market.

In a move that marks the first time behavioural analytics are integrated with reactive devices, Howz will bring together its live insight capabilities with the detailed entries from data sent to the Everon platform to extrapolate information around daily behaviours and accurately predict individuals that need support based on recent changes. The new partnership offers effective and efficient assessment to ensure right-size care packages, tailored to the needs of the individual.

In line with the Government’s ten year plan, which emphasises the need for preventative models of care, demand for data-led, person-centred care is growing and the new all-in-one platform will allow care teams to allocate resources to those who need it most, using forecasting analytics to save time and alleviate pressure on the care system.

Peter Kerly, Managing Director at Everon Group, commented on the new partnership: “We’re proud to formally launch our partnership with Howz. Our shared approach champions interoperability and innovation in healthcare technology, allowing users to live an independent life for as long as possible. A model of preventative care means we offer proactive solutions to provide real-time data to aid decision making and early intervention before a crisis occurs - for example, identifying sleep disturbances via sensors to accurately identify those individuals at higher risk on a given day.”

The potential of this technology was recently evidenced in a new study conducted by Howz. The study found that changes in behaviour and routines, even subtle behavioural changes, particularly in mobility and sleep, can act as early indicators of health decline, providing objective evidence to inform care planning and risk profiling.

Kate Fairhurst, Managing Director at Howz, added: “This partnership marks a meaningful step in the shift to proactive systems of care. Howz is already delivering positive outcomes for individuals and social care teams by supporting the assessment and right-sizing of care packages through data-led insight. By integrating with Everon’s connected ecosystem, we can extend the reach of proactive and preventative care into devices and environments that have traditionally been used only for reactive alerts. It’s a shared vision for a smarter, more sustainable future built on evidence, not assumption.”

The partnership will support strategic and operational teams across housing, local government and health by delivering a more intelligent, preventative model of care. From reducing unnecessary care packages to providing robust evidence to inform funding decisions, care planning and resource allocation. Everon and Howz’s joint proposition is designed to meet the sector’s biggest challenges around unplanned visits and subsequent admissions into secondary care. When integrated into existing care pathways, the Everon and Howz technology can deliver real-time data to support this clearly defined objective.
